COLORADO PRESERVE AMERICA YOUTH SUMMIT

So... I know you all are wondering what the Colorado Preserve America Youth Summit is, and that's okay. Although we attract at least one hundred students from all over the state of Colorado each year, we are still pretty obscure as of yet. So, here's the low-down:

• The Colorado Preserve America Youth Summit is the only youth historical preservation program of its kind in the entire united states. That's big.
• What we do is we (as a large group of 7th graders to 12th graders) go down to historical places in the state of Colorado and evaluate the historical preservation programs already in existance, as well as helping to create new programs that will help get the younger generations involved in history and historical preservation. I personally find it to be REALLY fun and REALLY cool, but it's not for everyone.
• We're actually pretty strict on who we let in. Hundreds of applications (if not more) come in for each event, and no more than one hundred students have ever gone to any one youth summit.

It's truly a wonderful program, and I love it.
